Magpie Monday – coral cardigan

January 19, 2014

2014-01-19_002

As part of A Year of Ethical Fashion, I’ve been browsing through my local charity shops in search of second-hand clothing. My most recent find is this coral cotton cardigan, originally from Monsoon. It was absolute bargain for £2.99 – I would have happily paid that much just for the pretty buttons! I’m looking forward to wearing this with dresses in the summer.

Once again, I’m linking up with Magpie Monday at Me and My Shadow and the Op-Shop Show-Off at Blackbird has Spoken. It’s always fun to see what pre-loved treasure others have tracked down!

Great to have you back on Magpie Monday!

Love your pretty cardi, Monsoon is always such a treat when you find it at a bargain, I love their clothes.

I love the scallop detail and the colour too, it’s lovely. i’ve sort of given up on the second hand clothes hunting here, everything is so worn out and over priced, but I make an exception for looking at the woollens out of season (summer here) because no one else seems to. so great to have you linking in, i must pop back for some ethical fashion inspiration, I certainly need it (a bit over living in my 3 fit-me post-preggy summer outfits!)

Yes the scallop detail is really pretty. Second hand clothes hunting here can be a bit hit and miss, but this particular shop occasionally has good stuff. I’ve changed shape post-pregnancy too, so it is good to find bargains that fit.

It’s lovely to link in with your Op-Shop Show-Off again (I previously linked up from my nyssapod blog).

Thanks for stopping by! I’ve been reading your blog and am quite envious that you manage to do so much sewing.
