Faith Hope and Charity Swapping – what my swap partner sent me
Here are photos of the items I received from my swap partner Linda at Vintage Hearth for the Faith Hope and Charity Swapping 2012 – Jubilee Special, which was organised by Lakota at Faith Hope and Charity Shopping.
At least one item had to fit the jubilee theme, at least one item had to be thrifted/second hand and at least one item had to be handmade.
All the presents from Linda were beautifully-wrapped with red ribbons, and white and blue paper.
And inside the wrapping paper were some lovely charity shop finds, chosen especially for me:
- a square glass dish with a brown, cream and orange flowery print – Linda has obviously spotted that I like these colours
- a cross stitch book, because everyone knows how much I love cross stitch books – and I’m really impressed that Linda has found one I haven’t already got
- four blue napkins, which I will get lots of use out of
- a very retro 1960s ‘Hostess Set’ with wood and ceramic salt and pepper shakers and salad servers – still in their original packaging and perfect for outdoor entertaining
I’ve taken a couple of extra photos of my favourite item, which is a really beautiful fabric and bead flower broach in red, white and blue, handmade by Linda. When the broach arrived it was presented on a playing card which looked really cool and protected it from getting squashed in transit.
This broach is already pinned on my favourite blue jacket. I am thrilled Linda took the time and trouble to make such a beautiful broach for me.
So thank you very much to Linda! And thanks also to Lakota for setting up the swap. I enjoyed it so much and will definitely sign up for future swaps. (Next time I’ll wrap the individual items as it definitely adds to the pleasure of receiving the parcel)
I will be linking this blogpost up with the Jubilee Swap Linky at Faith Hope and Charity Shopping . And I’ve done another another blogpost about the items I sent to Linda.
