Magpie Monday – cat picture

March 5, 2012

So, what did I find on my first foray to a charity shop after Frugal February had finished? I found a cat picture on a framed tile for £1.50 in a British Heart Foundation shop in Nottingham.

It’s only little (about 10cm/4″ square) but it makes a strong visual impact with the white cat against the volcanic red-orange coloured background. It reminds me of the red-orange featured in the Miffy books. It looks more red than orange in this photo, but that is often the way of photos.

This post will be linked with lots of other lovely Magpie Monday finds this week at the Me & My Shadow blog.

Thank you. I almost didn’t spot him, because he was quite tucked away amongst other things on the shelf. But once I’d seen him, I couldn’t leave him behind!

    Great find!!

I bet you’re glad Frugal February’s over, and you’re back to your old stomping grounds! x

Yes I’m really glad Frugal February is over. I don’t think I’ll ever ban myself from going in charity shops ever again!

My youngest sister has asked me to take her shopping in my local charity shops so that she can kit out her new flat with some pre-loved items 🙂

Yes it is totally gorgeous 🙂

Not going to charity shops for a month was an interesting experiment, but not one I’m going to repeat!
